Anyone been wearing and hunting in the Sitka Timberline pants? Any opinions on these? They look nice other than they feel a little heavy (maybe from the knee pads?)and the snap buttons look weak.

I've got 20+ days of mountain lion hunting in them plus a lot more not as rough. Everything is holding up fine. No complaints. Fantastic to climb in.

I really like the timberlines. They are heavier like you said, but I use them when the weather is colder. Put 15 days in them last year and have no complaints. The reinforced knees and backend are nice. I pulled the knee pads in mine.

Awesome fit and feel. They're great pants. The mountain pants are very similar, and a little lighter if weight is a concern.

Timberlines are so much nicer than my mountain pants. Very comfortable, durable and I love the stretch. I wore em daily for 15 days in summer in AZ. Best hunting pants I own...including the 90%, mountain pants and Kuiu Attack. You can remove the knee pads if ya want. I like em. Just wish they would redesign the suspenders where they attach to the pants so they stay put in strenuous hunts. One always seems to come loose during the day as shown here.

Love mine too. I used mine from the end of July for a sheep hunt right up till the end of deer season in mid Dec in BC. I'll be picking up a pair in solids once the 32tall is available

I love mine. I wear them in all types of weather, although I have a pair of waterproof rain pants that go on overtop if the rain is really coming down. I like the kneepads, especially once you have something down on the ground. I have a friend who wants to buy a pair, but he can't find any for sale in his size, at any retailer, in all of Canada. He's not huge or tiny either, normal sized.

Awesome pants. I have a couple pair that wear throughout the year and a pair in solid that I wear around. I pulled the knee pads because they interfere with gaiters, but their fit and function is top notch and the snaps aren't an issue. They work great.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. Good info. I got a pair of the charcoal on order and should be here in a week or so. I'm thinking they should work good on my sheep hunt.

I have been wearing the timberlines for quite a while and wont wear anything else while hunting. I also have a pair of solid color timberlines to hike in during the off season.

I like my timberlines in late fall, or early spring. I cant stand them in the summer, to hot and dont breath as well as some other pants I own. They have held up extremly well and are very comfertable. I threw away the nee pads the day I got them.

I like them for cold days. Below freezing preferably. One thing I really don't like about them is that they don't dry very fast if soaked. My first time out in them was on Kodiak and between the rain and crossing a few creeks they sat out the majority of the trip because they were still very wet a couple of days later. I was not thrilled to say the least. Other than that I like them

Best hunting pants I've ever used, the waterproof knees and seat are so convenient.

At first I didn't use the knee pads, but then I committed to leaving them in for a week long hunt and by day 3 I didn't even notice them anymore. I think they molded in some along with just "getting used to it" now I really like the knee pads as well.

I do use Ascent pants though during early Archery and Spring hunts where the weather is warm, the Timberline are a little warm for me to do much hiking in without building a heavy sweat when the temps are warmer.

The only thing I don't like about the knee pads is that they ride a little on the low side. If I was taller it wouldn't matter. I did take a 3/4" hole saw and drilled a series of holes in the knee pads. This lightened them up by 1/3 and made them a little more flexible.
