Sitka patterns

I’m finding a lot of Sitka Marsh camo items on big markdowns lately. I’m a pretty avid duck hunter so I’m thinking of getting some pieces, but was wondering if it would still be fine in the elk woods too. I know a lot of folks will say the pattern doesn’t matter much, but wondered if anyone had thoughts or experience with this stuff in particular.

I think it works the same as well, only the two leggers will see you....

I have to admit, Sitka suckered me in big time. The marketing behind it is awfully compelling when they started talking about Ungulate Vision and how it works. The Science behind it is interesting. But I'm starting to feel its no more true than Russian collusion and Jessie Smollet FAKE NEWS. But I don't understand these guys saying they wear it 5% of the year. I have to admit, my preacher on Sunday gives me funny looks when I'm wearing my Merlino Wool Baselayer topped of with Kelvin Lite Puffy all topped off with my Jetstream Jacket and Timderline Pants.

I'm assuming that the camp pattern will be just fine for deer/elk eyes, however the insulation and layering may be a bit different than what you would prefer in the mountains.

Pa58. Love your style... we are all part of the flock even while in Camo (even if that is a sermon between the morning and evening hunt )

Birds see a much wider array of color than elk or deer. Elk and deer have better vision acuity for blues for better night and twilight vision. It's all based on when their top predators are active.

Wolves hunt at dawn and dusk, not much active hunting during mid day. (of course this is broadly speaking).
Coyotes are dawn/dusk/night-time hunters. So deer have even more selection of blue vision.

That's based on several articles I've read. Camo is for the hunter, not the game, usually.
