Sitka Mercury Pant

I just saw sitka came out with the replacement for the Ascent pant. This pant looked awesome until I realized it does not have hip vents. I just don't understand, just because they are a lightweight material doesn't mean hip vents are not needed. Seems like a great pant that missed the mark by not including hip vents.

Barklow took a while to get on the hip vent train. I think he’s continued to use the justification for the two thigh pockets as vents as the pants purpose is to bad minimalistic as possible. But I understand your frustration, and also wish there were hip vents.
