Been looking for reviews or someone who has tried this jacket out. Does anyone know how it compares to the 90% jacket? It doesn't seem as popular but looks to be a better softshell.

I dont have the 90% but i have had the jetstream for a year and a half. It has been a phenominal softshell. I cant get a jacket without pit zips now. Haha. It runs a hair small i wear a size large t shirt sweatshirt and jackets but bought an xl per a sitka rep and it was perfect. I am 6'1 and 185. I would highly reccomend it. I used it on a late mulie hunt this year. I wore the traverse top a puffy jacket and a jetstream and was very comfotable. It was in the single digits most of the time. From 25 mph wind to snow. Spot and stalk archery. Best of luck

I've owned both. The Jetstream is a better soft shell in almost every way I can think of other than (maybe) warmth. I don't know if one is more popular than the other, but certainly the economy of the 90% jacket could play a factor in that. The Jetstream is better ventilated, much less bulk, cuts the wind better, and sheds water better. I don't know how the weights compare, but I've got to believe the Jetstream is lighter and I am certain it packs down smaller. With a puffy underneath the Jetstream, it will take you late into the season provided you are not sedentary. I'm not sure which jacket is quieter. I guess I never really noticed either in that regard.

We don't get a ton of rain in Wyoming, so I use a softshell a fair amount with that Cabela's space rain gear in my pack. If you get quite a bit of rain where you hunt, I'd expect that you wouldn't use a softshell as much and just use a more substantial rain jacket as your outer layer.

I will echo the above. The Jetstream is ultra versatile. Great ventilation when needed, but also shuts down the wind when needed. I can be comfortable in the mountains with it from 80+ to below 20 with any combination of light and heavy base layers and a Kelvin vest. One of my garments I would not give up for any reason.

I always take it on day hunts when I'm confident that it's not going to rain much. It breaths really well and I love the hood which I don't think the 90percent has. I second the above...great cold weather jacket while your still moving and warm weather jacket when u set up to glass from a windy vantage point. Size L works best for me. I'm 5' 10" 175lbs.
