I'm contemplating buying the Sitka Downpour Jacket and pant. I've read a lot of mixed reviews online about their effectiveness keeping you dry, the jacket in particular. If you have this setup, how do you like/dislike it? Is it worth the money?

I've owned one for several years. Good for treestand sits, quiet and dry. Doesn't breath well and you need to be able to dry it out at night or it will hold moisture due to the brushed faced.

Good for day hunts as can be expected. Any brushed faced gortex shell needs to he dried out . Mine has seen some decent use whittail hunting

Wore mine in a down pour for 3 days bear hunting. Dried it out in the cabin every night and I never got wet once. I like it bc it’s very quiet if stand hunting also

Mine has always kept me dry, both pants and jacket. I also use mine as a shell while snowboarding, however, I may have pushed the pants too far as they seemed to loose some effectiveness toward the end of this last ski season.
