sitka core heavy weight vs apex hoody

If you had a core heavy weight hoody in your kit, would the apex hoody be useful at all? Core looks to be warmer, also I had a lightweight hoody too.

I haven't used the apex, just handled it at a retail store, but have used the core heavyweight and lightweight quite a bit.

I would say that the apex would be more comparable to something between a lightweight and midweight core piece from Sitka. The core heavyweight is definitely heavier than the apex. I think the apex would still be useful if you had a core heavyweight, I would probably use it in place of the core lightweight if anything.

I will do a side by side for these two as i have them both. The core heavyweight hoody has been money for me the last two seasons. I have used it from just shy of the AC to a stones throw from mexico. I wouldnt leave home without it.

Yah i really like the heavy weight core too, comes with me all the time
