Sitka Cloudburst vs Downpour

Hood folds into collar, and 17 oz. wish I could get one in solid color. Awesome shell too.

Cloudburst is a loud slippery material. Downpour or the new Thunderhead jacket are both a brushed polyester material that is a lot quieter. I own the Cloudburst because I picked up the set for $300. I think the Thunderhead or Downpour would be nice for bowhunters. If you aren't scared of a little noise the Cloudburst works great from what I have seen on reviews.

FWIW, I bought the Bass Pro Red Head Goretex rain gear a couple years ago. Compared it to a friend's Cloudburst & it's 95% equal in quietness & performance. I don't look as "cool" as him but the pocket in mine is better cause it's got an extra $450 in it. LOL

Cloudburst and I like smooth exterior, dries off faster but is noisier. Never been a noise issue for me.

The collar design on the downpour was a no go for me in OR rain conditions. The cloudburst has an integrated hood that’s superior for visibility, the ability to hear, and weather protection in heavy stuff.
