Sitka Bino Harness Mods

Hey everyone,

For those who have the Sitka Bino Harness - has anyone done mods which would make it easier to get on/off?

I’ve noticed many other manufacturers don’t use the “X” style straps and use an “H” style or similar with buckles. I assume it is bc the “X” is much harder to get on and off, especially with cold weather clothing underneath.

I’m to the point where I likely will just buy a different harness this year for these reasons. Just checking to see if any creative minds have found this issue less than ideal and have improved upon it on their own.

I put buckles on the top of my pack straps and clip the upper part of the harness directly to the pack straps. Loop the lower straps around the lower part of the pack straps. Unclip 1 side leave the other side attached to the pack. Easy on easy off. Nothing going behind the back.

Having the same problem. Seems like a whole lot of overkill.
