Sitka Ambient Sizing ?’s

How does the Sitka Ambient Jacket/hoody fit? I’m usually between an XL and XXL in Sitka tops, depending on the cut.

I have the original hoody and jacket, and they fit me normal as per the sizing. I wear large in pretty much everything, and these are right in there as normal for how a large fits me.

They both have space to comfortably do a base or two but not much more. They are not supposed to be more than just a base under, and i do not think i have done anything more than a single base layer.

So, depending on how you want to use this, you could go either way i think. The one caveat is if you have long arms. The arm length on these is cuffed on the “short normal” side. They are fine for me but i could use another half inch on both and be fine. If you have long arms, then i would recommend the larger size.

Ditto above. I went with XL but debated a while after if I should have gone xlt. I still think I should have but kept it because I got it on sale for a great deal and the same seller did not have xlt. All to say, I'd say size up if you're on the fence or get both and return one.

I'm usually Small or medium and the medium fits me great. Since you're on the border, I'd order the larger size and would think it should be good.

I'm 6'3 and 245 and have the 100 jacket and hoodie in XLT. It's pretty long even on me (I still like it because I hate when wind drifts up my waist) so unless your lanky and tall maybe veer away from the tall.

I'm between L and XL. All Kuiu is XL and Sitka is mixed. I have the original Ambient 150 jacket and L is perfect. 6'1 and 185.

I am also in between sizes with Sitka tops/jackets. L/XL. For the Ambient, I think it depends on whether you intend to layer underneath or as an outer layer. I wear as a mid layer, so went with a large as to minimize bulk and not restrict motion. Excels in this role, Ambient isn’t that durable to begin with. I prefer the Ambient over a traditional puffy. Wear it a lot under a Stratus or other shell jackets.
