I had a strap on my Sissy Stix pull out of the handle. These were purchased 4 years ago and have only been out of the backpack a handful of times. It appears to me that the strap was not fixated securely during manufacturing. I think that is evident by the lack of damage to the strap that pulled out (picture below). I contacted the company for recommendations on replacement options and fortunately I can replace the hand piece for around $25 plus S&H. I did inform them of my disappointment with the strap failure and that I felt like this was clearly a factory defect. However, they stood by their 3 year warranty against manufacturing defects.
I guess my question to any of y'all who would like to chime in: Should I be expecting more from the company? ~$30 dollars fixes the issue, but to me it is more of a principle issue. I plan on just paying for a new handle section (which I recognize is a great option compared to replacing the hole pole). I'm may be expecting too much, but was a little surprised at their response to options to address poor craftsmanship.
