Sissy Stix Warranty

I had a strap on my Sissy Stix pull out of the handle. These were purchased 4 years ago and have only been out of the backpack a handful of times. It appears to me that the strap was not fixated securely during manufacturing. I think that is evident by the lack of damage to the strap that pulled out (picture below). I contacted the company for recommendations on replacement options and fortunately I can replace the hand piece for around $25 plus S&H. I did inform them of my disappointment with the strap failure and that I felt like this was clearly a factory defect. However, they stood by their 3 year warranty against manufacturing defects.

I guess my question to any of y'all who would like to chime in: Should I be expecting more from the company? ~$30 dollars fixes the issue, but to me it is more of a principle issue. I plan on just paying for a new handle section (which I recognize is a great option compared to replacing the hole pole). I'm may be expecting too much, but was a little surprised at their response to options to address poor craftsmanship.

Not surprised they don’t warrant them. Peax is basically a knock off Chinese marketing company. How they going to pay all their boys to “run” them in their kit if they warranty other ones.
If I was you just use them until they really break then buy some Argali (Sponsor here and Brads awesome) or Black Diamond ones.

I had a similar experience with them. The sticks I received must have gotten glue inside and were essentially fused so the pole wouldn’t extend. They told me I didn’t know how trekking poles worked and it was $20 to ship them back for a refund.
