Sirui T024SK tripod center column

Anyone running a Sirui T024SK tripod with a short center column?

If so, whatcha got?

I bought mine 3 years ago; doesn’t have the short option (maybe updated since I bought).

That ST-Z center column is the triangular “tube” for 1xx series tripod…

It will spread like that, but my center column is about 4x that length

Got ya. This was a pic off their website. Appears the newer ones hove the ability to shorten the center column. How stable do you think this would be to shoot off from prone to sitting?

I think it would be workable for moderate ranges…not as stable as my Spartan tripod but it isn’t nearly as heavy either (and I can’t get the Spartan legs to spread for prone).

Got ya. Considering maybe a lighter weight tripod versus a bipod that would double for glassing.
