Hey All,
Posting this in the optics thread as it relates to tripods.
I have a T-024SK with a VA 5 head. I'm looking to dual-purpose this to a rifle mount for mobile hunts where I may be sitting up against a tree by a food source/ travel corridor. I've see a few different yoke style mounts that are threaded and can be attached to the arca swiss plate.
The load capacity for the legs seems to be just over 13lbs and then just over 6lbs for the va5 head. would resting and shooting with at roughly 8lb rifle (plus whatever weight i add as i steady myself) overload this set up? The legs would most likely be collapsed all the way if that makes a difference.
Let me know your thoughts! Trying to see if i can rig this up rather than getting another set of trigger sticks or a bipod.
