Anyone have one of these ST-124?'s? How do you like it? Looks great to me, curious about the triangular center post.

I bought a ST-124 recently and put the Sirui VA5 head on it. I use it for my Meostar S2 spotter. I have been very happy so far with it. I was running a Slik 634 before but the weight of the S2 made the Slik vibrate a little at full height if there was wind. The ST-124 is rock solid. It is about 0.5 lb heavier than my Slik 634 and about same height. The triangular center post works fine. I can extend the center post with the S2 on top and it is still very stable.

Pretty sure thats the model Sirui tripod I’ve had for many years- using it with their ball head, its been great. avg size spotter and big 15x60’s or 15x56‘s are rock solid.

Good to know! Thanks.

Only used mine with binos and a small spotter so far but I love it. Triangular center post is a very intelligent design and very stable extended
