I had one at one point and really liked being able to shoot with it in the off season and stretching out the yardage. But too many opportunities missed because of dialing in range. Having that one animal spook 15 yards after you draw one time will make you want those fixed pins again. Stuff happens after you draw back and having those fixed pins there is one additional step toward success and one less thing to worry about. Just my opinion.
Ethan you are right that the sight guard moves up and down but you never change your anchor. The anchor stays the same and you would move your bow up or down to center the guard in your peep...
So for a follow up shot your gonna range the target before you shoot correct?
If you have time to range an animal you have time to dial your sight. Just my opinion thou.
I keep my pin set and can shoot 0-50 without moving it. Past 50 I will move the dial.
Both multi and single pin sights work. It's all personal preference. Not one is better than the other. Alot of really good bowhunters out there that use single pin sights and they are pretty deadly (bigdan, Cameron Hanes, etc).
I couldn't agree more. I have a three pin slider so that I'm good out to 55 but if your solid out to 50 with a single pin that's great!
Slim Jim. What kind of sight is your 3 pin Slider? I was looking at the Hogg father by spott hogg.
