Thinking about switching up my sights this year and going with a single pin adjustable (most likely a BG ascent ambush) but never used a single pin before. Does anyone ever have problems with the game moving between the time it takes to range the animal and move the pin? Any good/bad experiences with them?

I usually keep my pin at 30 yds... I know exactly where to aim if they come in at 20-40 yds. If they are beyond that like last years buck then I have plenty of time to range and set my pin where it needs to be. Of course Keeping your pin at 30 and shooting up to 40yds takes practice.

You can do trick pin set around 50 ish yards. Aim 12 inch low and hit in the kill zone from 0-45 ish yards.

Or you can set it at 30 or 35 and aim high or low depending on the shot.

If you have time to range you have time to move the pin in my opinion.

Single pin sights are awesome!
