Single gun case

Looking for a hard single case for a scoped Remington 700 with a 26" barrel. Something that's not overly bulky.

Are you flying with it or just storing/truck? The Plano cases are nice for the truck, but SKB/Pelican would be my choice for flying. I've got a Pelican Double that's been on more flights than most people and still going strong.

I have had good luck with SKB iseries. IMO Pelican offers more protection, but they are bulkier, heavier and more $$$. iseries are plenty tough to fly with and hit a sweet spot of cost-weight-bulk-protection.

I'd just go with something like the Plano SE series in that case. They're in the $50 range. If you're looking for more protection, the Pelican Vault Series (V770) is in the $150 range and will give plenty of protection. The Apache cases are nice for what they are, but they only have a double rifle case (on sale for $99 this weekend).
