Get your essential gear first then spend the big bucks later for the good stuff. This allows for spares to accumulate too. For example, for hunting clothes, I got BPS or Cabela's gear to set me up to go hunting. As time goes on, I'm starting to gather more expensive clothes and gear, name brand stuff slowly, like 1 or 2 items a year, to build my gear up. Your old clothes can be used for people who want to join or as spares to bring just in case.
