Looking for solid color pants similar to the Kuiu Attack for snowshoeing and winter hiking. Kuiu is sold out and I don't want to wait.

Any suggestions?

Stoic Overhang pants are a similar, super burly light/medium softshell pant like the Attack.

I have two pairs and love them, but I just wish they had two cargo pockets rather than one.

The best part is you can frequently find them on sale at Backcountry.com or steepandcheap.com.

I have some Kuhl pants that I like very well, pretty similar but not quite as quiet.

I think you would be getting the exact same pant with LULULemon. The ABC pant - they are 4 way stretch. Don't let this company fool you. I have compared in detail and I convinced they both being made by Toray. The seems, cut of pockets, fabric....IMO, they are exactly the same. This company is making KUIUs....Look through the pics of this pant and compare them. You might be surprised.

They are definitely not "exactly" the same. Do you own any attack pants? There are many differences I can clearly see just by the pictures. While they could be the same fabric as kuiu's attack pants, (no idea) they are definitely not the exact same pant.

my bad.....

Yes, i have attack pants. I basically wear them exclusively.

ok, not "exact" (no pockets on the side for example) (I do not want to embellish ) but damn close from what i can tell. I have taken the attack pant in a lululemon to compare them. I did not mean to embellish, but the fabrics for example, i would argue are scary close. Even down to the long skinny long tag that i have never seen until KUIU.

If a man wanted a 4 way stretch pants that is close to attack (fabric being the main point), they are that. I do agree, their are differences like pockets, cut might be slightly slimmer but a good option....

Full discloser.....I do not know they are the same fabric and they are not exact..... better?

Ok I understand what you mean. Never seen or held the lulu lemon pants, so I have no idea on the fabric. But kuiu attack pants have different front pockets, different rear pockets and zippered closure with weather flap, they have side pockets, hip vents, different leg and knee seams, different button style closure on the main zipper not to mention a completely Different cut and inseam length.

They may have the same fabric, who knows...but I wouldn't use those for hunting pants. JMO

The fabric used in these pants is probably the best on the market. I've used these and the Attack pants extensively and the two big differences are 1) the Mammut's don't snag as easy and 2) the Attack pants are warmer.

The Mammut pants will hold less water as well, but that's something I've read from "lab" results and could not actually tell a difference when using both.

I've used my Patagonia Simple Guide pants for years but consider them only for the colder months. I like my attack pants and use from August to November but if there's snow on the ground I'll go with the Simple Guides. For your stated use I think they'd work well. Retail for $100 but can be found on sale often.

Good choices here...reasonably priced without the ridiculous Chinese fit of some of the premium-priced, backordered-forever S & K stuff.

I often wear the Marmot Scree pants...for the warmer months they are excellent with great stretch. With a base-layer underneath they'll do the whole season.
Killed several mnt goats with the Sporthill SPs too. Great pants for cold, snowy weather..they aren't for warm weather.

For winter activity I am currently using a set of Marmot Blackcomb pants. They are really set up specifically for use in the snow. For example the fabric is slick to shed snow, the front is highly wind resistant, and they have zippered cuffs and built in gaiters. Too loud for most types of hunting, but a good winter pant for higher output activities. Real belt loops too, which I always like.

Prior to the Marmots, a set of early Sitka 90% pants in solid color saw many years of use. They were warmer, but didn't shed wet snow nearly as well. This year it's either the Marmots or a set of Ibex wool pants when it's colder.

YK

I like my KUIU attack pants, but still prefer the Sitka Ascent and they come in solid colors. They are the perfect weight for winter hiking with a pair of gaiters. I've found that anything above 20 degrees I don't even wear thermals. I've bird hunted in them all day in 6 degree temps with a good merino base layer.

How about REI Mistral or OR Cirque. Use those for cold weather winter hiking/snowshoeing and light alpine stuff. The REI pant is thought to beat for the price, lot of size/inseam options. Marmot Scree too.

Headed down to REI to check things out. Really like to sound of the Kuhl Destroyr (REI exclusive) but think they are sold out. Also considering the Kuhl Renegades. I'll also check out the REI brands. Too many D*mn choices!
