I bought mine two days earlier for $46.07. Then saw the price drop. Just a heads up. They are being shipped from Japan, so they most likely won’t get here before Christmas now. Mines supposed to be here Christmas Eve, but it was free shipping! Great price if you don’t want the Outback, or curved blades.
 
I got a Silky Gomboy on Amazon a few months back. Also shipped from Japan. It ended up being a Japanese domestic only version. From what I've read they're a lighter duty version and not covered by warranty in US from my knowledge. I haven't used mine much to see how big of a difference there is.

How well did the one work that ”is” covered by the warranty in US? At this price, I will take the chance. Nearly all good saws are pull cut, and that seems to be the biggest problem new users have.
I have at least a half dozen of these little Gerber saws, and have been using them for years.
Looking forward to trying out something new!
 
I need a new blade for mine. The replacement blades are $65 these days. So, I guess I should just take this deal.

Yeah, I just have a cracked blade and that was from abuse. I was hiking back in for my last pack out, I carried that saw and was cutting, whacking limbs along the way so I could get the antlers out without getting snagged. I was trying to this as fast as possible so I torqued the blade.
I have a Big Boy, too, but the Gomboy is more practical for the backcountry.

Sorry it took a bit to respond, I didn’t get a notification of your response. So far I haven’t seen any difference in performance between the two. I’ve been happy with it.
 
I haven't weighed them, but I swear this version is heavier than my 2021 version. I bought this one because it was cheaper than buying a new blade.
 
After getting mine in hand, I should have bought a second for that price. We had a wind storm and some big branches came down. This saw worked great! They are back up to $93
