Well, maybe getting $300 for a pile of junk is better than getting $0 and keeping the pile of junk. That seems like a glass is half full approach to use here.

But, I might be willing to pay $300 to blow one up and make SiCo replace it.

Might be time to SBR my Encore and put a 12 inch 7 PRC on it.

Fair point, @wind gypsy . How about likely future pile of junk? I suppose I’m a bit biased since mine reached pile of junk status.

And @Marbles, that sounds like an expensive experiment, especially considering the “award” is a mule kick to the shoulder. But by all means, do whatever you want with your money. 😂

Idk man… 300$?.. I personally feel pretty ripped off paying 1k like a year ago on a “lifetime purchase”.
Same, but sometimes it’s best to rip off the bandaid and move on with life. Of course, I’m just speaking of my own experience and circumstances.

For $300, I'd keep it and send it to a life of 223 or 6mm stuff. I say this as mine is still sitting in my closet blown in half. I need to send it back but there's not much motivation.

The motivation should be that you can exchange it for a different version. I have heard of folks doing that.

A different version as in the STM? That's not super appealing to me as I bought this to fill a niche as a lightweight compact hunting can. Definitely a positive if it doesn't explode though.

None of their other cans are appealing at all. I wouldn't mind a low back pressure 6mm can but I don't need a full auto rated 1lb can either. I'm stuck in a SilencerCo purgatory of sorts. I'm never an early adopter and this will forever serve as a reminder.

I'm stuck with this turd and my priority now is blowing it up over and over to cover the cost of the can with their labor costs and machine time to repair it. If anyone needs any testing done for accessories, let me know!

I don't think there's been a consensus on what exactly happens when they let go. Big kick? I know one guy got scoped but there's also the video of the dude blowing his up during a string of fire and not even noticing.

I've been trying to blow mine up over the last few weeks with several hundred rounds of 7PRC out of a 22" barrel but it won't go and my wallet won't allow me to do much more at this pace. Silver lining is that my accuracy has never been better!

I bet they bought so many that they are paying less and less for them. They offered me 475.00 for me but I sold it to a dude instead and got more.
Yeah, I will hold on to it, perhaps sell it to someone local who wants one, or give it to someone who wants one. It will go back on my 223 for now and I'll just hold off on getting a 6-S.
