FFL can acquire firearms anywhere at any time. However, in this case you're also correct that with the intent to acquire is not for gunsmithing or service work, normally it would require an approved Form 4 before the transfer takes place.
Yeah not sure other than it was a very straight forward and quick process. They handled everything. Would definetly do it again.

Very easy, see below for full process. They did everything, all I did was sign a couple docusign links and drop off the suppressor in a UPS drop box..

- submitted my information and photos via their 'trade in offer' tool
- they emailed me an offer a couple days later, along with a Docusign link to sign to accept the offer
- they sent me a second Docusign, linked to a NFA private party transfer form that was fully populated by them. All I had to do was confirm serial number, my personal information, and sign
- They sent me a prepaid shipping label the same day
- I threw the suppressor in an amazon box I had laying around and dropped it off at the UPS drop box down the street
- a couple weeks later, and once the NFA transfer was approved, I had a $500 store credit credited to my Capital Armory account
- purchased OG 6.5 in stock with that credit

(edit to add some detail for y'all interested)
Is this a program they are offering for any used suppressor, or is it specific to the Scythe due to known “issues.”

Capital Armory gave me a $500 credit for my scythe. Traded in for OG 6.5
Thank you for sharing this info. I contacted them and got the same offer. I wonder if there will be a flood of Scythes into Capital Armory from RS and cause a dip in “value”?
