SilencerCo Scythe Ti failures

SilencerCo Scythe Ti Owners: Have you had a catastrophic failure?

My zero gravity is shorter, lighter and quieter than the Scythe-Ti that I have. I have zero fear of it blowing up either. The Scythe-Ti failure rate alone should make it a non starter for anyone, unfortunately I bought one 2 months after the release, nobody saw this coming.
Same feeling here. The Zg wasn't available when I got my Scythe. It has been a great can tho. Had I never been a member of this site, I would never have any doubts or negative feelings towards it.

Mines been 100% with bout 1100 rds on it, so I can't complain, but it will come apart some day, probably a 99% chance of that!

Long time listener, first time caller. Posting to report a Scythe Ti failure. T3X 300WM, cut to 22” and threaded. Running a Dead Air Xeno zero qd mount. About 75-100 rounds total through the can, all with this rifle. Broke on round #7 of a range session, shooting slow. Five minutes between 3 round groups. No sign of a baffle strike.

Exactly where mine popped.

Yup - weld failure, seems like a common weak spot. Flew 75 yards.

Forgot to mention: All ammo used for the life of the can was factory 195 gr Hornady ELDM.

I’ll send it back, hopefully get another, but won’t trust it again. Heading a different direction anyway. New rifle, and a US OG 6.5 on order
The turn around on mine was quick. Shipped out on a Monday, got it back Friday. But like you I don’t trust it.

Just added a yes. Mine blew apart at the weld just past the first baffle. Shooting prone and the muzzle blast was significant. Still have not located the end of my suppressor. Don’t think I had a baffle strike because my bullet hit right on target. Shoot a Fierce CT Rage in 7PRC 20” barrel. Shooting factory hornady hunter 175gr eldx. I would need to count but think I am just shy of 150 rounds through the can. The black thing is my suppressor cover.

I don’t think it was posted here but in an interview done by TFB TV with silencer shop founder showed that the Scythe TI is the # 1 selling suppressor from silencer shop.

It goes to show that word travels really slowly in this market and while people on this thread would probably get rid of their Scythe for a $50 Home Depot gift card, the vast majority of consumers are buying them up in record numbers.

Long story short, I think there is an almost zero % chance of a recall at this point. There are too many out there.

A buddy of mine was at Scheels last week looking at silencers and he was recommended the Scythe. I gave him some alternate input, but I suspect a lot of shops give similar recommendations as Scheels.
