I'm trying to make sight tapes on ArchersAdvantage. This is my first time, so maybe it is operator error. All I know is that the generic sight tapes that came with the Black Gold are pretty close based on the fps, but the ones I am printing from AA are off by 7-8 yards at 80 yards. I've followed the Gohunt article and the Rokslide article on making sight tapes, and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong!!!

AAO Settings:
Centergy Hybrid 70#
Arrow weighs 473gr at 282fps (or 482gr at 278fps)
Sight length is 29.875 and Peep Height is 3.75
Output selection is "Sight Tapes" and "Yard ranges"
"Sight type" is Inches (there is no Black Gold to choose from)
Printing is set to Actual Size

On the "Sight In" tab, I am using Chronograph with the reference range set to 10 and the speed set to 278 (pretty close). I don't know how to use the calculate speed tab. I think the calculate speed tab is where I can fix my problem, but I don't understand how to get the "Mark 1 and 2" measurements.

For those that are smart on this, how does the software calculate for drag? The two arrow setups I am messing with are identical except for fletching. Once arrow has three fletch Blazers with a strong helical (EZ-Fletch Mini) and the other is a three fletch AAE Max Stealth on a Bitzenberger Offset. The Blazers weigh 9 grains less and the software says they should hit 3-4 inches higher at 80 yards, but I think they have more drag because their POI is the same as the heavier AAE. The generic sight tapes are pretty close until 70 yards, then my arrows seem to drop more than the tapes predict beyond that.

Thanks for the help.

Change the fletchings in arrow setups section. Also reference marks won’t work for your sight as you don’t have a wheel with numbers (see SH Hogg father wheel). Just set your bow speed and print the tapes. It will be a different tape for each setup. When done correctly I’ve had AA tapes as accurate as I can be out to 150 yards.

Another pointer is to set your tape on the sight using a longer yardage as there is less room for error than setting it on sight using the “20 yard mark.”

I have two different setup configurations with the different fletchings, so that part is done. I will definitely try the to align it at 80 rather than 20 or 30.

Reading thru your post it seemed a little confusing. I can tell you that using chrono speed to build a tape wont be accurate. Call me and I will walk you through it if you have time.
