Hey everyone. Just got my hands on a Lift X 33 with a UV 5 pin slider. Been trying to get my tapes set up but running into issues. For the UV there is the set-up tape, and I am starting at 20 yards with my 3rd pin which is fixed. Issue is that the set up wants my 20 almost 1/4 down the slider which i can't move the tape plate down to. Not sure if it is a set up issue as I wasn't dropping my arm. For clarification it is a 75 lb. draw weight and 27.5-inch length. Any insight would be great thanks!

Sorry, should've clarified. 3rd pin is my 40. It is fixed though. UV says to set up the taps to use the fixed pin at 20 and 60 to figure out your tape.

Aren’t all the pins fixed within the housing? The distance between pins stays constant and the whole stack of pins moves together with the housing, right?

4 of the 5 pins can be adjusted if needed. the only pin that cannot be adjusted is the 3rd pin. So right now I have not adjusted any pin placements.

You don’t have to shoot at exactly 20 and 60 yds to select a sight tape. You’re trying to determine the pin gap your bow/arrow setup produces between two particular yardages then match that gap to a pre-printed sight tape. You can achieve that by shooting at 20 and 60 yds or 30 and 70 or any other combination. Any two yardages will work, although the greater the distance between them the more accurate your tape selection will be (assuming you can group consistently at both yardages).

Use whatever pin is aligned with the indicator on the sight tape when determining your pin gap. Some sights have a single indicator, some have multiple. If yours has multiple indicators, take your pick.
