I just got back from a week long Blacktail hunt and my guide used these. They seemed to work very well I was quite surprised that these were used more than the Swarovski's that he had. What experiences have you all had with these? Are they worth having them in my hunting arsenal?

Got the twelves, they are pretty sweet definitely doesn’t replace tripod glassing. But they are awesome when riding a utv and stop and glass, walking around, etc. they are pretty sweet when you have 15s on a tripod and come out of them and want to look at different areas without moving where the 15s are at.
I would say mine are going to replace like 8s for archery and when weight isn’t an issue while using a vehicle.
If I was backpacking and also taking a spotter I would probably stick with 10s on chest and tripod. To me they are another tool, not a replacement. Hope that helps.

Just bought a pair of the 16s since they were on sale for $200 off at sportsman's before a trip out to the sound to hunt blacktails. 1st day took a while to adjust to them as they are definitely different. But by the end of the trip glassing a mile down the beach in 30 gusting 50 mph wind on the beach one handed with my elbow braced on a piece of driftwood was easy work. I will say the "spot" mode (orange light) I think is useless as I cant seem to get the bino to focus as well in that mode as the scan mode. But truly, use them for a solid week and you will absolutely love them. I would say glass quality is on par with my vortex 10's for light gathering for example on a full'ish moon I can still glass the beach at night and identify deer while hand holding the bino since they are so stable. I will put it this way, now that the trip is over I am going to go back to sportsmans and buy the 8x model for carrying around in the timber on day hunts since they will have a better FOV and sell my 10x42 vortex's.

I used the non-HDX 16x and 10x last year, and tried the new HDX when they came out. I'm sold on the IS. It's a game changer for me, but you need to figure out how much the IS feature outweighs the mediocre image quality.

I sold the 10x and 16x, but missed the IS and bought the Canon 15x50 to try as it has a better reputation for image quality. The Canon is a brick but is better than the HDX for my needs.

I ordered some 20 x 42's from Eurooptic on Black Friday they were on backorder but $240 off I can't wait to try them.

I have the 10 and 16 power glass. Alpha glass? No. But the image stabilizing is awesome. My kids can glass with ease. My old man can glass with ease. I can glass while my wife drives. Overall I love the image stabilizing. Still like my swaros better, but these now have a place in my pack. Taking the 16s much more frequently than my spotter now. At 22ish oz, hard to not pack them. The 10s became my now hunting binos as they are so easy to one hand hold and see what I need. Now if they only had a rangefinder built in…
