Good morning Everyone,

Curious if anyone has any experience with the Whiskey 3? I picked up two of them for a steal in 4-12x40 with their BDC reticle for like $120 kindof on a whim. I worked at sportsman's previously and played with them some and they seemed to be solid for the money, especially the sale price I paid. I went ahead and mounted one on my wife's 243, and the other one I'm debating on putting on my howa 1500 7 mag that's supposed to be my christmas present. I had originally purchased the second one to have as an extra backup scope as cheap insurance, but I figured it could suffice on the big 7 until I get some cash saved up for something better.

Question is... has anyone had any experience with these scopes? Are they as solid as they feel? Do they stay zeroed in when you put them there? How's tracking (not for dialing, but for initial site in)? Will they hold up to the recoil on a magnum? It'll be mounted in some Warne Maxima rings on a warne 20 MOA base. Yes I know the 20 MOA base is a waste on a scope that I won't be dialing, but I wanted to do it up front so that it's ready when I get a better scope. Thanks everyone!

No because I run higher power scopes. All of mine are 5-25. I have thought about a couple for my smaller guns but I am scope poor now, don't need to add to the pile. :):):)
Haha fair enough. I want to put something better on mine eventually, but the Sig is laying around and I just need to know if the damn rifle will shoot or is worth anything, so I'm hoping it tracks true and holds up in the meantime!

Maybe one day I'll be able to afford something better...

I will say my sig has not been treated with the best care and when I work on paper targets I have yet to have to adjust it back to zero. Matter of fact I did not have time to sight the old girl in this deer season and killed my buck at 415 yards on the first shot so I think it is still on. I also don't twist knobs, I came from the Kentucky windage school of shooting for better or worse.

I have one that came on a 300wsm I bought.

Never tried twisting the knobs for anything but sighting in.

Seems pretty solid, its clear, and crisp.

I tucked it away, in case I need it for something in the future.

Yup, not looking to dial it. I will one day, but this one is just sitting gathering dust so I figured it may get used in the meantime. I have a dialing scope on my 6.5 creedmoor that is sure awesome at the range, but i'm not necessarily sold on it for hunting... yet!

Yeah they seem solid for the money, it reminds me A TON of a Nikon Prostaff I have on my muzzleloader. I ran it to both ends of its adjustment last night when I installed it, feeling for irregularities, and nothing seemed out of place. Crisp adjustments, and it boresighted easily. I just need to get it to the range now! I won't be dialing it, even though they say they'll etch a custom turret for me. I'll just sight dead on at 300 and holdover beyond that.
