SIG SAUER KILO2000 Review, by Justin Crossley

Nice review. I've been pretty impressed with mine so far as well. The speed and consistency of the readings has been the most impressive for me up to this point. I wish it had a better waterproof rating and I agree about the size of the reticle/circle being a bit big but otherwise I think it's a fantastic unit that can't be beat for the price.

The more I use this thing the more I like it. I have a Leica CRF 900 that I've used for the past 9 years and it's a great accurate rangefinder. I got the Kilo because of the added range for rifle shooting, but with the angle comp on this Sig unit I think I'll be using it for archery season this year as well. I tested it at home on one of my tall Blue Spruce trees. I'd range the top after walking off horizontal distances and it was spot on even as short as 4 yards away from the tree. Highly recommend this unit.

Both Kilo's I looked through had a very defined blue tint to the optics. Is it just my eyes or did you notice the same thing?

I noticed it a bit under certain lighting conditions (mostly indoors) but not all conditions. I assumed it was from the Lumatic OLED display that adjusts the display intensity to match ambient light conditions. I don't have a ton of field time with mine yet but under normal conditions outside I haven't noticed the blue tint.

I didn't notice it at all, now I need to forget this so I don't look for it. To me it seems more neutral as my vortex had a green tint.
