Anyone have one of these sigs? How do you like it? Just picked one up, thinking about making it my new edc over my glock 43. I’ve always been a glock fan boy, but maybe time for a change. I still love glock.

What holster are you guys using? Iwb and owb?

I have a P365XL I carry IWB in a DeSantis Insider holster. I think it is the best carry pistol made. I went to get a 43X since I've been carrying Glocks for 25 years, but they had the 365 and 365XL sitting right next to it. After looking at all of them, it seemed Sig has it all over everyone else for carry pistols with their "stack and a half" magazine. More bullets, smaller gun. What's not to like?

I have a P365 that I carry with a TLR-6 in a Tulster IWB. I like the gun a lot, and it's been nothing but reliable. The only issue I have with it has been riding the slide stop and not locking back, but that's my fault. It does have some striker drag but I do not consider that to be a problem. The TLR-6 light sucks, but is better than nothing. Surefire just released a better light this spring. It's pricey for a 350 lumen light, but is rechargeable. The trigger is mushy, but reasonable. The trigger is probably the one place that SIG should out their efforts if they wanted to improve the gun. I probably have 1200 rounds through my gun and I shoot it really well for such a small gun despite the trigger.

If I were to do it over I would probably get the XL version for the longer barrel and the red dot capability. The longer barrel makes it ride more stable in the waist band and makes it a little more shootable. I use the 12 round mags pretty much exclusively anyway which gives me a full grip on the shorter gun. But the longer grip on the XL makes for faster reloads. If you get the XL, you can get a Tactical Development rail adapter to make a TLR-7 work on it. There are also holsters available for the gun with the better light. Originally, I was going to go back and forth between the P365 and a G19. Honestly, I think it makes more sense just to go with the XL version by itself.

I have one I carry. Long time glock guy. It has replaced a combo of an M&P shield and a G19 I used as primary carry guns. 10-12 rounds in a very shootable package is pretty damn good IMO. I prefer 10 round mags with the slightly extended grip. I find that gives me just enough room for my pinky and makes reloads easier.

I run mine in a tulster and a JW Custom Kydex appendix holster.

as @ElPollo mentions, I am growing intersted in the XL. People that have them rave about the flat trigger. I find the idea of a small red dot like the Romeo zero appealing. With 12 rounds in the mag it is a fairly potent package.

I have a Razco holster that fits under my bino harness that works really well with my P365.

I'm incredibly jealous of you all (coming from someone who lives in CA and can't purchase a p365).

I had a 365, and have switched to an XL for the optics mount. The P365 family is in my opinion the best EDC solution that has come out to date. If you don't want to put on an optic I would get a regular 365 and order an XL frame for an extra 50 bucks, best of both worlds.

I went the opposite way to the XL. I put the XL slide on a standard frame. It's the grip length that causes printing & 10 rounds is plenty. Installed a 507 & TLr7. I appendix carry in a JX Tactical Fat Guy holster.

Nice set up rob, glad you like it still mine is almost the same. I just have a smaller light on the front. I EDC an xl slide with the regular 365 smaller grip on it, i love it. And the holosun red dot is 100% better than the sig romeo. Both of my die hard glock buddies converted to these after one range session with my pistol, glocks feel like a brick in comparison. In t-shirt weather/for mininal imprinting i carry the 10rd mag with pinky extension and if its cold enough to wear at least a sweater i carry the 12rd. I sometimes carry a 15rd if im using the OWB holster. If the 365x with optic cut was out when i bought mine i probably would've got it instead of the xl, but the extra slide length is probably slightly more accurate and doesnt effect imprinting for CC anyway so no regrets

I have a p365. Had it for a few years. I’m not a big guy so printing is always an issue. But haven’t had any issues with the sig for printing and shoot it really well actually. Been very reliable as well even with really crappy ammo. I carry IWB in a crossbreed holster.

Since it came out. I just use a sticky holster 99% of the time.

On my pack I’ll use a crossbreed IWb on the inside of the EXO belt strap (between strap and belt)

Since my last post, I took the plunge on an XL Wearing a 507. My p365 still walks with me when I want something smaller, but the XL is easier to shoot and manipulate for me. I am on the fence about adding a tlr7 to my rig but I do like the idea of a light on my carry gin.

I have the XL, no optic. IWB in a nice kydex clip on. Carries very easy. 100% reliable and easy to shoot well. 800 rounds into it, the trigger has smoothed up a tiny bit, I may look into an upgrade there. I’m sure it would do better with a good trigger.
Very cool design with the FCG being the serialized part.
Add the Magguts kits to the mags and the 12 become 14 round.

All that said, I still shoot my Commander .45 so much better it’s a tough call.
Ive been shooting the 1911 platform so long it’s hard to accept a trigger like the SIG has. My XL does have the thumb safety, so I would be safe with a much lighter/shorter reset trigger.

The P01 is a good one too, but a bit dated design. I love it.

15 yard targets.

I'm still kinda on the fence about the light. It's a bit bulky & I'm not sure it's really necessary on a carry piece. I can see it for bedside use, but I have a shotgun & full size 9mm for that.
I figured it would actually be mostly for overnights in a motel or the truck, when I'll have it along anyway. I'd honestly rather take it off, I think, but it's really not that much of a hindrance. I dunno.

Nothing wrong with a light on these tiny guns, but the lighting tech is a few years behind. They will come up with a new battery that will be half the size of the CR123 with the same output and build a light around it.
