I am wanting to upgrade my rangefinding capabilities to include ballistic solutions, and have considered the Sig Kilo3000BDX binos. I hear great things about the BDX app and the firing solutions. My concern is that the optical quality may not be good enough to put on a tripod and look through all day. Who here has experience with these binos that can comment on their clarity?

I"ve had these and the Fury AB's. Glass is identical to me, and I'd classify it as mediocre. It will get the job done, just don't expect to be wowed by the glass.

I've used both at PRS matches spotting side by side with a Vectronix Vector for comparison, in varied conditions including pretty bad light, heavy rain, etc., and I own the newer version of the fury 5k's and have also used them hunting quite a bit. Same as above post, neither are top-shelf but for me both are pretty decent; the only difference I noticed was that to my eyes the sig glass was a touch crisper, but had a bit of a bluish tint to it. Based on that I would have bought the sig's had the price been equal, but won a vortex certificate and the lower price swayed me. Apart from the weight is a bit much I'm happy with the fury's. I've found the ranging to be good and could not tell a difference in ranging between the 2 binos, my fury's I can pretty reliably range "soft" non-reflective objects out past 1300 yards and often farther. We shoot out to about 1200 at steel and the sigs did that reliably, but have not put those through their paces at non-reflective targets. Ease of use with interfering brush, etc and alignment of the laser was similar on both rangefinders.
Have not used the bdx feature so cant comment on that.

I just bought the Sig and returned it just as fast. I was comparing them to my Nikon Laser force glass. The Sig was a little brighter, but my Nikon ranged better and faster to me. the comparison between the glass was NOT good enough to keep the Sig. I haven't tried the app, so I cannot comment on that. I did purchase the fury a while ago, but it fell apart on the first hunt I was on, so I returned those as well.

Do the Fury AB’s have the blue tint like the Sigs?
If you are referring to my post, no, my fury’s have a normal color rendition to my eye. Sigs were the ones with a slightly bluer tint, but 1) I have not heard others complain about this, and 2) despite that I would still say the sigs have very slightly better glass all other things being equal.

I love my Sig's - they are mid-tier glass as others have said. Good enough for me, but obviously not alpha glass. However, I also run the BDX scopes so that's a huge consideration for me. Really slick setup when combined.

If I wasn't running their scopes I'd probably spring for $waro's. My buddy has some of those rangefinding binos and they are nicer (but not 3X nicer as the price would imply).

I had the Sig's and the Fury AB. I didn't like the glass quality so I didn't keep either one of them. The Sig had several flaws (diopters, laser alignment). I did not like the blue tint of the Sig. The Fury's actually have different coatings in each barrel. The view through the right barrel where you get the readouts is definitely more dull, bluer, etc than the left barrel. It's made that way so you can more easily see the readouts. The left barrel is more clear. Nevertheless, I thought the overall optical quality of the Fury AB's was fair at best.

I’m also looking into the Sig 3000’s I just bought the scope looking to simplify my setup instead of running two optics. It sounds like they’re basically as good as the fury’s with a little better glass or worse depending on who you ask.
