Sig Kilo 5 & On X

I’ve been playing around with the drop pin feature using my sig Kilo 5 and OnX. So far I am not impressed. I’ve looked for good videos on line, spoke directly with both Sig and ONX and now trying this community to shed some light on the process.
What I’ve experienced so far is:

• I only get a pin drop if I first close out of ONX on my phone then open the BDX app, point my phone at the spot, range the spot, then hit the pop up (drop pin ONX). Then onX opens and I can sometimes get the pin drop.
• If I get a pin drop it is sometimes close to where I’m ranging and sometimes it is not even in the general direction..
• I’ve gone as far as setting my phone on a table with the range finder sitting on top of the phone, both pointing in the same exact direction and still not accurate.
• I’ve calibrated my phone compass and tried it with the magnetic North on and off…still not accurate.

Anyone having better luck?

Well that's just it. Neither had much to say. Sig was completely useless and directed me to ONX. ONX tried to be helpful and actually followed up but all I got was that the 8k or newer has built in compass and that should help.

That sounds like a SIG issue
