Sierra Heavy TMK 6MM Testing

Had my barrel chopped down to 16.5" this week.

Shot a quick ladder with 3 charge weights and settled on 40.5. Loaded 10 to confirm accuracy and zero. Lost around 60fps dropping down from 18"

Can't wait to hunt with it.

That’s bitchen brother. Sweet compact rig. And shooting excellent also.

Interesting observation on a small 15ish lb hog in the TX Hill Country. 18” Tikka 6 ARC, 107 TMK, bout a 75 yd shot, 2540 impact velo. Pics are screen grabs of a vid so quality is lacking but here they are.
Shot was taken from the top of the Can Am buggy so entry is a bit higher. Obviously not a full necropsy.

I assume that is the exit side? Did you cut that open, or walk up to it like that? I also assume with the placement and size of pig it was bang flop?

Exit side, didn’t open her up. Exactly as wound was when I approached, jacket was fully visible. Little ones are like ants at my place. I’ll kill a bigger one before long, necropsy interests me more in that scenario. Just thought it was cool the jacket stopped where and how it did. Bang flop indeed.

Did you accidentally take a 6.5CM instead? Looks like what all the facebook experts depict as it's terminal performance..
