A couple of years ago I was looking for a light weight tent that would accommodate someone over 6’ comfortably. Not as easy as it sounds. I looked at a lot of different tents and came across this one in a light weight back packing forum. Anyway I didn’t buy anything until I saw this on Serra Trading Post for under 200.00. I purchased it last summer but never got a chance to use it during the season. Finally got around to pitching it in the yard a couple of months ago.
Happy with the interior size. I’m just under 6-03 and didn’t hit my head or feet on the sides. It has a ton of room to sit up. It’s plenty big for me and gear. I’m 265 with wide shoulders. Would legitimately fit two average size sleepers. Anyway it’s kind of a hybrid where it’s single wall for part of the tent but then has a lot of mesh ventilation on the other half. It only weighs 2 lb 14 oz with the provided poles or 2 lb 8 oz using trekking poles. I know there are lighter options but for the actual size I haven’t found many.
It needs to be pitched tight and seems like it wouldn’t hold up in high wind but most of the reviews were very positive for a three season tent. I will try to put up more information when I get to put some time in it this summer. I’m cautiously optimistic.
