I was just about to spring for a new down bag when I saw this. As a "restless side sleeper", there is now a 100% chance that I buy one of these instead.

JP that is a great design and you got my interest with this. I wonder what the weight on it is. I love my Western Mountaineering bag but man that design has me very intrigued. Be curious to see others opinions and see if anyone makes the jump to test this out.

I think I'm going to give it a try too. DriDown or their equivalent. I just got a EE 20* quilt from another member that I'll use summer and early season, but later season this looks good. I like the idea of the pad sleeve too. I'm also a side/stomach sleeper and like the idea of more room and flexibility. I would like to hear from someone who has had their hands on one. I would assume that it is decent quality from SD. My Clip Flashlight 2 is still going strong after 25 years!

Nobody has one yet. They come out this month. I am already hounding them with emails... I'm going with the 15 degree, 800 fill, long version. It will be a little heavier/larger than a mummy with equivalent temp ratings (less thermally efficient design), but finally having a comfortable sleep after all these years will be worth it!

I've been wanting to see one in person as well. I'm curious how well it does with drafts, and if you can easily add in another quilt. Also, is the 15 degree rating a comfort rating or a survivable rating. I want a 15 degree comfort bag. It seems I camp a lot more in 15 -30 degree weather than 30 -45.

This system looks pretty sweet to me. I have more urgent pieces of gear to buy first and I cant see myself selling my Wm to try out this bag. But man I like the concept.

I for one would be curious to hear Aron's comments on this system and the quality of the product. I sold my Slick bag with the intent of going to down, but am not all that excited about a mummy bag. I like the EE quilt I got, but would like a full bag at times too. Maybe the new center-zip Slick bag with a quilt or Woobie could be used in a fashion similar to this without the pad sleeve, but the weight might get up there pretty high.

interesting, I didn't see a weight listed any where for it? does anyone know what it weighs?

With 800 fill down and all the "extra" material and down used in that design, I would geuss that a 15* version will weigh about 40 oz. or more.

I'm not saying it's bad but I just don't like to carry extra stuff I don't need.
