So I get a call from a California number just now. I answer because all of the junk robo calls I get have never been from there for me. Turns out it's a real guy who is with the Sierra Club. They got my number because I signed a petition set up through the Sierra Club to Boise which was trying to turn the canal dirt paths to bike paths.

This gentleman started the conversation by asking me what was the largest environmental concern I had. I replied, "the overpopulation of predators on the landscape here in Idaho." This threw the guy for a huge loop and there was a bit too long moment of silence LOL!!! It was actually awesome and I was chuckling inside! He then proceeded to say, "uh, well I don't know anything about that but the Sierra Club is addressing the Amazon Rainforest, the Plastic in the Ocean and Climate Change." I said, does the Sierra Club support hunting and providing wild game meat for ones family? He did not know about their stance on it and it was obvious he was really uncomfortable. I got a kick out of making the guy squirm and I got to hear what was basically the Basic Playbook for AOC's environmental concerns.

Just thought I would share a bit of a funny interaction with ya'll!

I have room for one more bumper sticker on my Subaru if they happen to send you an extra one you don’t want.

I had a couple of those that I worked with, always wanted to improve something and I'd ask when are you all going to replant some of the land that's been destroyed by fires NOT THEIR thing told them to call me when things changed LOL Hhardrock

John Muir got his appreciation for the Sierras by travelling with trappers. He had a great respect for their knowledge.

I quit Sierra Club in the 90's when they wanted a total ban on logging federal lands. I had a volunteer ring my doorbell and tell me that logging federal land would leave the deer with no place to go. I tried to explain the importance of logging for different types of habitats for deer, birds, rabbits, etc. But it became pretty clear this was a volunteer from the city that had never been in the woods. Running full speed on total emotion and no facts.
