Can you expand on what your talking about.
I have a dead air mask 22 hd and a sandman Ti and I have been extremely pleased with both cans.
Seems like some have blown apart. I have a mask 22 also and I'm not worried at all about it. The mask 22 wont have enough pressure to blow apart.

Will add about 1oz.

I’m interested in ordering this as my first can, and such, I’m pretty clueless. It reads like the Scythe comes with a single port brake already… are you adding another as a separate accessory?

Do I need any other accessories, or does the can come with everything needed to mount to a 5/8-24?

I have this for an omega300 and believe it will fit. Cougar was looking for max recoil reduction and this will likely assist. It should come with all you need.

Ah, did some reading on ASR and TOMD muzzle brakes. Those essentially allow the can to slide over.

I’m assuming that’s just a convenience for those of you who want to remove the can, but do those internal brakes add any recoil reduction with the can on the rifle, or not? If not, I’ll probably just go with a direct thread.

This will go on a 6.5PRC, which I have currently setup with a Seekins brake on. I’d like to add a can since this rifle is really intended to be a deer rifle for my kids, and I imagine we’ll all enjoy shooting it much more with less noise, so long as the recoil isn’t significantly higher.

I can’t remember who I talked to, but I don’t think those internal brakes really do much. I could be wrong. They do allow you to swap the suppressor between guns with ease. However, they are HEAVY. A 3 port ASR with an ASR mount will add something crazy like 5-6 oz.

I’m in the same boat with a 7mm mag. It has a brake and my son can shoot it. Bottom line, a good brake will reduce recoil by about 50%. A suppressor reduces peak recoil by 25-30%. It also slows the recoil impulse, but that’s hard to quantify. There are only two external suppressor brakes I’m aware of. One is the DA E Brake, a radial ported brake. Goes on Nomad Ti, Diligent Defense, and some other cans. I think it’s 1.5 oz, but don’t quote me. @Cameron.25 said it did reduce recoil more than the can alone, but it sounded like it still won’t get you back to a good brake. The other brake is the Bravo brake that goes on the Omega and now the Scythe. I have no experience with any of these cans, so everything I’ve learned has been through other guys. I’ll end up with the Scythe if it lives up to the hype otherwise I’ll get the Nomad Ti and an E Brake. Another option for you is the DD LTi, that by all accounts is an amazing can and compatible the the E Brake, BUT that can is super long. We will find out soon enough, as it sounds like a lot of dealers will be getting their first deliveries of the Scythe at the end of August.

My serial is in and I'm efiled and waiting now. They told me about 8 months right now at
The internet doesn’t really have any reviews or guys with their hands on them yet. The guys that are dealers should be getting theirs soon, if not already, and posting up some reviews and testing.

My can arrived at my dealer this week. Had the chance to take a look at it, and get my paperwork started. I guess I’ll get to provide a review in 7-12mo

This will be going on my Seekins Element 6.5PRC. Honestly, I’ve never seven shot with a suppressor before and have no idea what to expect, but I’m hoping it’s significantly quieter than my current setup with a brake. I use this rifle with my kids primarily for deer season, and I honestly think the sound of this rifle bothers them more than the recoil.

It will be way more quiet than your brake. I’m a big believer that flinch is more a factor of noise than recoil (up to a point). Will be great for your kids and help save their hearing (and yours).

Have a SiCo Harvester EVO and it was amazing to see how much friendlier it made shooting my 7PRC. Quote from the guy next to me when o shot it for the first time was “well that didn’t suck.” Recoil reduction was nice as well.

Congrats on your suppressor, hope you get lucky with a short wait time.

As someone who has a broken nomad ti “in repair” I wish I would have just ordered a tb ultra 7.

Would be interested in this can as well.

How did it break? I have a TBAC 7 and while it’s not the newest cutting edge thing, it is pretty awesom.
