Is there anyway to get my shrunk chama back to normal size? Fits everywhere but the length is short. It’s like a belly shirt now.

You can try blocking it. Knitters block finished pieces to settle in the final shape and fit. Google “blocking wool sweater” for ideas. It’s pretty easy to do.

PSA regarding merino: If you’re unfortunate enough to have your merino run through the dryer and it shrinks, don’t panic. Fill a sink with lukewarm water and a tablespoon or two of hair conditioner. Drop the garment in and swish it around a bit. Wait 5-10 minutes. Gently squeeze most of the water out (don’t wring). Lay flat on a dry towel. Roll up shirt in towel to get more water out. Unroll so it’s flat and gently stretch the shirt where it shrunk (I did the sleeves, and length/width in the torso). Put another towel on it to cold the shape. Maybe stretch once or twice more as it dries. Rinse in cold water and lay flat on a dry towel. Finally lay flat to dry.

I was able to get a couple shirts back to original size. As a caution, this may fade the Camo pattern a little but I can’t really tell if this is working or the original laundry.

This happened to me on my merino long johns. But only one leg shrunk. So now one leg is about 4” shorter than the other one. Wife said I looked like a pirate wearing them. Idk why.
