Show your Tikka ten round groups

I just picked up a 308. What’s your recipe?

That ladder was shot with 150 gr Hornady Interlock SP (not the boattails) that I got a screaming deal on. I have loads for 165 AB, 175 Berger VLD that are probably more “precise” than this and a 150 TTSX load that is sub minute as well for this rifle.

Disclaimer: Always work up loads, as this is safe in my rifle but may not be in yours.

I settled on the following charge:

150 Hornady Interlock SP
46.4 gr Varget
CCI-200
COAL: 2.815”
Lapua Brass 4x currently
~2840 fps from 22” barrel @ 48 deg F

10’shots
107 yrds
Tikka 16”223 with U7
Maven RS1.2 UM rings Rokstock
AAC Sabre 75 back tips.

Clearly ammo matters. same rifle 5 mins later but with AAC 77OTM. Clearly I am going with the 75’s for practice.

That’s AAC. Zero consistency. The next lot of the 75gr Blacktips you get has a good chance of shooting like the OTM’s.

Agree. I bought 1000 rds of the 77OTM and 500 of the 75 Blacktips. At least 3 Different lots for each load based on the info on the package.
The 77’s have been designated for AR practice. I won’t buy PSA again.

Found Hornady 62FMJ Black shoots decent and need to get another 1000 to practice with for an Antelope hunt. I did the shooters drill and realized I suck and need to practice.

ADI 55gr Blitzkings and 69gr SMK shoot very well, and are consistent.

I'm not sure of the current consistency, but I'd found Scheels fiocchi target max 5.56 55gr to be accurate and consistent (several lots last year) in my Tikka

Played with the new 223 with AAC 77 tmk

I hate the factory stock. Can't wait to rokstok it. Definitely pulled a couple. But for a factory pipe and cheap 5.56 ammo I'll take it
