I have been thinking of getting a stainless takedown 10/22 with the backpacker stock. I dont have anything like this, but I would like to see what the guys of Rokslide have put together, rimfire or centerfire, that may give me ideas of which direction to go. Thanks!

I just bought the same gun for the same reason a few weeks ago. Added the Magpul mount that attaches a Red dot to the barrel and an Sig Romeo 5 red dot. Shot it last weekend and it’s an absolute blast to shoot. Just need to find a small backpack for it and it will then live in my truck or UTV. I add a pic tonight.

I have the s&w 15-22 pistol version and have thought about how well it would work for something like this just by popping the upper off. Honestly if I didn’t have the can on I wouldn’t even need to take it apart but who wants to shoot unsuppressed 😂

This is pretty much what I was thinking. Maybe a microprism for the etched reticle, but basically the same idea.

So the takedown is here and the stock, more mags, and optic mount are ordered. Still might wait for the GLX microprism to be released to see if I wanna get that or another Romeo 5.

Finished up. Magpul stock and optic mount with a Romeo V. Put a BX trigger in it that I already had and a rubber/steel buffer pin. Then added a Kidd recoil rod and spring, extractor, and firing pin. There are 4 mags and 80 rounds stashed in it in total. Put 80 rounds through it today and it shoots fine. That photo is my 30 round group from 40 yards.

I messed around with a 10/22TD for a few years and while it was compact, light and fun, rimfires aren't legal to hunt with on most public land around here.

So I moved it on to a mate and started researching centerfires, most commonly they're found in single shot.
Well this Rossi .38Spl/.357Mag popped up local and really tickled my fancy.
After having it shortened, suppressed and sand blasted to tidy it up a bit I'm real happy.
.38spl hard casts are cheap to load and work great on small game while full house 180gr .357Mags have been dropping deer, hogs and goats

Y'all should consider the SBX suppressor shroud barrel, it's pretty sweet. Love the backpacker stock if for no other reason than the stock holds three 10 round mags. Any little reflex sight on the barrel makes for a slick low profile shooter. This one shoots subs great, unbelievably quiet. Click click click...

I have this gun in a 45lc /410 it's quite accurate with 365 hardcast and shoots 410 for birds.
