I don’t have any pics of it but I put my folded rifle inside my pack right down the middle. I put a small cut piece of foam in the bottom to pad it from impacts. It’s actually much faster to get to it like this because only the roll top needs to be undone to extract it instead of 2-3 side straps. I also don’t like the weight distribution with it on the side of the pack and it interferes with getting my spotter or tripod out of the side pockets. It also tends to take a lot more wear and tear hanging off the side.

If I’m actively hunting I prefer to carry my rifle in-hand. I know guys hate this but it feels pretty natural to me since I always carry my bow in-hand also.

1" webbing strap loop for the bottom, Fidlock Hook 25 quick release buckle up top sewn directly into two existing webbing loops. System worked well last year for my traditional stock using a lower slung bottom webbing loop. Not the easiest thing to load since the top buckle is snug, but quick to retrieve.

If you don't mind me asking, what chassis are you running? I like the way the stock folds and locks down the bolt so, it can't possibly catch on things.
