Looking for experiences from anyone who has attempted a shoulder type holster for their woods pistol. I don't know if one is compatible with a backpack and a bino harness on top. I currently have a razco with a g29 on my bino harness. It works fine but the weight starts to loosen the straps over time. Thinking maybe a shoulder holster may work, plus it is easier to dump my bino harness at camp and keep my pistol on me.

If you do not use a pack, it works. With a packn the shoulder straps either get in the way or the snag on the grip as you put the pack on or take it off.

You can make anything work but I do not care for it at all.

I have a buddy who runs a chest rig under the bino harness. It is positioned so the grip rides to the side for access. He swears by it. I have not tried it but this is my next holster purchase to try.

I believe he uses the Keni by gunfighter. (Spelling may not be spot on but should get you close.)

I use a holster attached to the Guardian Chest Plate from S&S or UM on my bino harness, and I like it. I have also used the Gunfighter chest holster, but I dislike having 3 sets of straps to deal with( pack, bino harness, and holster). My dad tried a shoulder holster for a few years but gave it up because the pack shoulder straps reduced his range of motion and made drawing difficult.

Which straps are loosening? What bino harness are you using? Shoot me an email, We may be able to get you fixed up.
