Never understood why Sitka or Kuiu or similar wont make a pair of lightweight zip off convertible pants. That would be the early season ticket!

I love the Eddie Bauer Guide short. Super stretchy light weight material with a DWR finish. I'm not a Kuiu guy but my brother is a Kuiu freak and says the shorts and pant version are very similar to the attack pants. The Eddie Bauer web site has them on sale for $52 bucks right now. I think I picked up my pair at the outlet store for about $40. As for hunting in shorts I Don't. I think there are plenty of great super light weight pants on the market that are perfect for hot weather. I personally like the extra protection on my legs for going through the brush. I pack in my shorts and wear them around camp thats it.
