short barrel 7prc powder

anyone loading for 7prc 18" barrel, 175-185gn rifle is being built, will be shooting supressed. gonna grab a few powders. im thinkin short cut and maybe retumbo. n560? any one seeing good results, if so what powders?

I had good results with N560 in a 20”
Barrel. It was what I settled on after trying a few different powders. Would have to check notes to see exactly what other powders I tried, but I’m thinking 4831sc and N165, and maybe one other. But yeah, I liked n560

N570 has worked well with those weight ranges. Haught Rifle Development had that exact setup using 175 bergers and I believe he was around 2900

Looked and my load is 66.0 N560 with ADG brass, F210M primer and the 168 ABLR and 175 elite hunter.

I just fired a couple 168’s through my 16” barrel 280AI with 62gr of Retumbo with decent velocity. About 300fps slower than my 25” barrel, 2670fps from the 16”.

I used H4350 and lighter bullets for the 16” barrel rifle assuming Retumbo would burn too slow, averaged about 33fps/inch so it’s possible that the Retumbo didn’t fully burn, seems like a lot of loss but it’s also two separate rifles.
