Shooting rest for tripod (not clamp style)?

What options are out there for a arca compatible shooting rest that is not a clamp style rest or shooting bag? Looking at tricer and outdoorsman. Any feedback? not sure I like the Felt backing on the outdoorsman. Thx.

Yes, the strap keeps binos on it for long session. Depending on the hunt, I bring it to glass and shoot. I changed up my glassing kit so I can leave my spotter and take this.

For NRL Hunter this is a great glassing/shooting solution, leave it on the tripod to use to range off of and then to build a position to shoot. I can use it for field shots to 500 with high levels of confidence.

I’d say the majority of hunters could use this more efficiently instead of learning how to shoot locking the rifle directly to the tripod. Locking in with a rail or the clamp style requires some training/learning.

I’m looking for some real world feedback on this setup.

It seems to be close to what I am after.

I would likely swap out and connect my binos via a aziak mount.

Didn't get a lot of use this year. No out of state tags and killed a buck local opening mourning. At the range with a back support, I could shoot as well as prone. It's will made and stable for as light as it is. If that helps.

Different plate and bag, but shooting off a plate with a bag on top of it is very versatile and very solid.

A one-stop shooting rest solution?

A kneeling or seated position with a good bag off a tripod or preferably a rock or log, in known conditions, I have zero concern shooting at 400 yards on an animal. My wobble zone is next to nothing if I can get in a spot where I can support my trigger arm with my knee. To provide some context...

I’ve used my outdoorsman shooting V on a couple animals. I actually missed an opportunity trying to use a “clamp” style rest on the tripod…I was thinking it might’ve been a better system, but it’s a bit more complicated IMO. Even though I felt like I was practiced enough to use that setup, it wasn’t as simple and I felt like it was difficult to move ahead if needed. Granted I wasn’t using a ball head, just a pan head that I normally use for binos and spotter. I used the shooting v a bit later in the season, similar scenario, and it worked great. I put a rail on the bottom of my 300 but haven’t used it yet. I used the shooting v on a cow elk hunt in NM a few years back, it worked perfect on a 350 yard shot, so I’ve been pleased with it

The clamp was way to wonky for me too. A "V" is much better, IMO. Most clamps give/slide under recoil.
