Off season blues have been getting to me lately. Have a newborn in the house so getting away for too long is out of the question. During my son’s spring break, we snuck down south for a day and some “hunting” of sorts. Wasn’t sure what it was going to be like other than my son would enjoy it but man was it a blast. Cruising canals, shooting iguanas with a souped up pellet gun is a good time! Keeps you pretty sharp as well, hitting them in the head from a moving boat is no gimme shot. The coolest part was watching the dog work. It’s not every day you see a dog retrieving iguanas! I’d recommend it to anyone if you are in S FL.

Thats awesome. Do you eat them? Is there any danger to the dog with a wounded iguana?
Some people do, we let the guide take them. They eat the big ones, use the colorful ones for leather good, and feed the rest to hogs.
There were only two that were lively enough to run from the dog, just turned into a chase. I'd imagine if he grabbed them closer to the tail they might could bite into him. Dog was a pro though!
