Shooting Deer In FoodPlots...Can They Smell It???

I’m sure they smell it but doesn’t seem to effect them. I’ve had deer walk across fresh blood trails and past gut piles.

Never seen deer change behavior when others are killed in feeding areas. Heck, I’ve seen keep feeding after one dies near them.

I shot a coyote with a large expandable an hr before dark. A ton of blood and a large chunk of his liver came out at the spot. 30 minutes later a 140” buck walked in on the same trail, stopped at the spot to smell the blood, hung around and shot him too.
