Shipping Ammo w Firearm

I see people posting in the Classifieds with whole setups including handloaded ammunition. Can ammunition legally be shipped in the same box as the rifle to the FFL via UPS, etc. or does it need to be a separate shipment?

(Sorry to have to start a thread for a simple yes or no question, but have been unable to find answer online or here on RS)

Yes, separate shipments/cannot combine ammo/firearm in the same shipment.

Plenty of instructions/rules can be found online, on carrier sites in particular.

If its going through FFL to FFL i don't THINK the ammo has to be seperated.

Still has to be a separate shipment as its a hazmat category, need the hazmat label on the box.

Ammo requires the hazmat black and white diamond on the box.. If you ship them together and put the black and white diamond on it it should be fine.
