I am going on a sheep hunt in the Alaska Range next August. I'm interested in one of the Mountain Laurel Designs "mid" tents that is big enough for at least two people. My question is what is the largest foot print that I could get and still have a reasonable of pitching the thing in the high country. If I have my own preference, I'd get a "Supermid."

Cant help ya with Alaska Range experience but I'll confirm your thoughts on sizing, you want a supermid if you plan on having two guys in there. I own a Sil Supermid with stove jack and a dcf duomid. The duo is a great size for 1 guy and all his gear but I'd hate to have another dude sleeping in there with me.

I agree, I’ve had both models in the Brooks for solo use. The duo I’d would be too small for two, supramid just right

Went up there last August and used my BPW Luna 6 for me and my buddy plus gear. He’s about 6’3” and had no issues. We even got to hang out in for 50 or so hours due to a rainstorm.
