Sheds--just one so far

Haven't had a whole lot of success shed hunting so far...altough, I haven't been out but just once. Small, half chewed up one. I'll look around some in a couple weeks when I'm turkey hunting too. Anyone having luck finding sheds?

Why do I find more sheds when I'm not "shed hunting"?

Picked up a matched 10pt set walking a suburban apartment development site the other day… next day looked into a field for turkey driving home and spotted another one — pulled over to grab it. One of my best shed seasons so far and I haven’t even been out looking for them once!

Are dead heads common in your area?

Yes? I’ve found three elk, five mule deer and a couple of coyotes so far.

I don’t actually dedicate time to look for them, I just find them when I’m out.

I don't always find sheds, but when I do it's a spike or forkhorn. Maybe that just means I'm a good shed hunter looking in the bad shed hunting places

Did find a pretty good one while turkey hunting. Pretty chewed up, but a good antler.

It's been a weird shed season for us here in Northern Michigan with all the snow and rain we have been getting. I've found 25 so far, or actually 23, as my 10 month old lab has found has found 2 on his own. Most of the sheds were found while we still had snow including this match set.

Found my smallest shed ever this year as well. Haha- even smaller than the small one my wife found a few years back. Haha- poor Ollie thought I had a treat for him!

Those are so tiny...crazy to find those!
