Shed hunting

What state you in, planning on going to Ohio next week, was gonna go this week, but gonna wait for my brother so we can go together. I did find this matching set last week here in pa, but the tips were chewed, been out the last 3 times and walked 20 miles and pretty much got skunked
I am in Illinois. We still have bucks holding but most have dropped

This probably topped the list of my unique finds. -14 degrees and had to resort to using a come-along to eventually get it out from under a rock

Wow that’s awesome!!! Especially with the drop Tine. I wonder how his other half got broke maybe it was still buried in the ice? I need to up my game and look in frozen rivers, I guess that’s my reason why I don’t find many sheds . 😂

I’m pretty sure the other side is actually under the big boulder you see me leaning against. my best guess is during the flood the dead head washed down river before that huge boulder rolled down the bank onto it… I wish I could have seen his other side! He actually cleaned up really well, still hard brown on the antler.

Went walking with a buddy today. We each found one. Puts me at 20 for the season. Wish I took some pictures of the area. It's gonna be a great spot to hunt this coming season. Very cool terrain. Thick pine canopy surrounding a Marsh, overlooking a hardwood flat. At the top of a pretty hard to access hill. I'm giddy like a little kid. Can't wait for end of summer to get cameras out.

Some are still holding around here in VA. Saw 1 last week running across a field with both sides. My buddy had a pic of a nice 8 point Saturday evening on his place? I’ve found 9 so far. Actually found 1 hanging in a tree next to my pond. Here’s a pic of 8 of them. Found 1 at my buddies farm Saturday listening for turkeys. I gave it to him.

I do most of my shed hunting during turkey season, used to have a dog that would bring them back every year...that was handy!

My very first time truly shed hunting and I got 4, which isn’t a lot but for me it’s a lot! My buddy also got an elk antler too. My first find was a single mule deer shed, literally right after picking it up I doubled up on the ones in the picture! Then we hiked a bit higher and I found my first elk shed and then my buddy got his first elk shed too. Such a fun trip

I’m dying for a western shed hunt trip. Does anyone know what the refs are on buying sheds? I’d love to have a nice 6pt elk shed here for my mantle? Thanks in advance!
