Shed Hunting Sub?

I did a 7 mile loop today trying to find something . Came out empty . But its always great to be out looking!

New Mexico requires a shed hunting license for non-residents, $200, No cost for residents.
This is being implemented in other states as well I believe. Absolutely rediculous and nothing more than a money grab. Charging for a license and tag makes sense, as it's a finite resource that requires funds to make sure the resources stick around for future generations. Even if every single shed gets picked up, more will just replace them next year. If they want to charge anything, a license to sell antler makes more sense. Let those who wish to monetize their finds factor that in.

What's going on with the euro on the top left? Is it an optical illusion or are the antlers non existent past the brow tines?

Nice catch. That is the nubby buck - the biggest bodied buck I ever killed. He was 190 lbs field dressed, which is huge for Virginia. His antlers every year were big thick nubs about the length of your palm. He shed every year and grew new ones but they were always super short like that. I saw him on the ground two years before I killed him (before the season started) and he was big as a horse then.
